JAVA / Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

· Participating in active incident management

· Fulfilling incoming support requests (from business users as well as other IT teams)

· Taking reactive measures to resolve incidents and support requests

· Taking proactive measures to decrease the number of incidents and support requests

· Eliminating functional debt

· Fulfilling the goals of the part of the platform which we are responsible for

· Monitoring improvements

· Implementing and defining SLI/SLOs

Requirements

· 5+ years of production experience in Java

· Experience in the full Software Development life cycle from discovery to deployment

· Solid knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot

· Experience with SQL databases

· Experience in JPA (Hibernate)

· Experience in JMS (ActiveMQ)

· Experience in using Gradle or Maven, Git, Gitlab

· Basic experience in *nix command line

· Experience in CI / CD

· Good English

Nice to have

· Experience with AWS

· Experience with Spring Security, Spring Cloud AWS, Spring Cloud Netflix

· Experience with AWS services: SQS, SNS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, Kinesis

· Experience with GCP: BigQuery, GCS

· Experience with UI frameworks: GWT, ReactJS

· Experience with Oracle RDBMS

· Experience in Akka, Quartz java libraries

· Basic experience with Docker

· Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic preferably)
