Our client is one of the worlds well-known IT companies, with a portfolio of products used widely in the IT industry. Its a multinational technically mature company with offices across the world. Its best known for its issue-tracking applications as well as team collaboration and wiki tools. The customer follows innovative approaches to feature and documentation development, and they deeply care about creating a high-quality product. We dont just get stuff done, we get it done well together.

The customers Design team perceives the way they communicate technical information to their users as an end-to-end journey. This journey begins with a clear understanding of user needs and ends with the creation of professional, comprehensive, and straight-to-the-point content for technical audiences. Youll be responsible for enhancing the developer experience by producing content for internal and external developers.

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

• great writing and communication skills
• the ability to deeply understand the technical aspects of the product and produce developer-focused content
• experience in documenting and using APIs
• experience in using development tools (Git, Bitbucket, Visual Studio Code)
• familiarity with standard web-based publishing tools (Markdown, HTML, etc.)
• experience working in and managing documentation projects in an agile, fast-paced environment

And ideally, we hope youd have:

• experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams including designers, developers, product managers, analysts, marketing, and customer support teams
• experience in improving or building information architecture and content strategies
• bonus points if you were working with the UI copy

• When you join our customer team, youll become part of the Design organization, where Content Design is the key craft and encompasses everything from gathering inputs from dev teams and writing content to addressing customer feedback.
• You wont own all the content, but youll help make sure that the documentation is clear, consistent, and boosts the productivity of the product developers.
